The Pest Management and the Environment (PME) team is responsible for Pesticide Applicator Training (PAT) in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS). It is also involved with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the Iowa efforts in the North Central Integrated Pest Management Center as well as other related environmental programs.

CCA CEUs Now Available

New this year – Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will now be offered to pesticide applicators attending the scheduled programs for Commercial Ag Weed, Insect, and Plant Disease Management, Aerial Applicator, and Seed Treatment Continuing Instructional Courses.  Interested participants should bring their CCA number to the program.

New Sensitive Crops Directory

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has created a registry for producers to list the locations of their pesticide sensitive crops and for beekeepers to list the locations of their apiaries.
